New York Proton Center Promotes James Loos to Chief Financial and Administrative Officer
NEW YORK, NY – January 20, 2026 — The New York Proton Center (NYPC), a leading provider of proton radiation therapy for cancer treatment, announced the promotion of James Loos to Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Loos previously served as NYPC’s Chief Financial Officer, a role he has held since joining NYPC in May 2023.
In his expanded role, Loos will continue to oversee Finance, and will now have oversight of Patient Intake, Insurance, Credentialing, Marketing & Communications, the 501(c)(3) NYPC Foundation,and select Human Resources functions.

Loos brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare finance and operations. Before joining NYPC, he served 19 years at NYU Langone Health, advancing through senior finance and operations leadership roles at their Perlmutter Cancer Center. He previously held positions as Corporate Controller at Lawrence Hospital Center (now New York Presbyterian – Westchester) and Senior Accountant & Consultant at Deloitte.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant, Loos also holds a Certificate in Advanced Interdisciplinary Leadership Development from NYU Langone Academy and a Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
