Kristin Hsieh, MD

Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Kristin Hsieh is a radiation oncologist at the New York Proton Center where she specializes in the treatment of breast and gynecologic cancers.

Dr. Hsieh completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she was Chief Resident, and an ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology)-AstraZeneca Radiation Oncology Research Training Fellow. She is committed to advancing the integration of radiotherapy and systemic therapy, including immunotherapy, in cancer treatment. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Research

Dr. Hsieh’s research and publications have focused on radiotherapy for breast, gynecologic, head and neck, and lung cancers, healthcare disparities, and mentorship in radiation oncology. Her research encompasses proton and photon radiation therapy as well as brachytherapy. She is a recipient of the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America.

Leadership

Dr. Hsieh is NYPC’s clinical lead for breast and gynecological cancers. In addition, she serves on the Mentorship Subcommittee of the Society for Women in Radiation Oncology. She is a recipient of the ASTRO Emerging Advocacy Grassroots Leadership Award.
